If you’re still carrying around wads of cash or a bulky checkbook, you might want to consider the PSE Credit Union Visa Check Card. This card is provided free-of-charge to qualifying members with checking accounts.
WHAT IS A CHECK CARD?
Our Visa Check Card gives you all the advantages of an ATM card, plus it allows you to buy goods and services wherever you see the Visa logo worldwide. If you use your Visa Check Card as an ATM card, your PIN is all the identification required. If you use it as a debit card, your signature seals the deal. When using the card at a point-of-sale terminal, press “credit”, when given a choice, unless you want cash back. By doing so, you save the credit union money that can be passed on to you and other members in the form of low fees and lower loan rates. The amount of your purchase is always deducted from your checking account. Use the receipts to enter your transactions in your checkbook register.
HOW TO AVOID ATM SURCHARGE FEES!
Watch out for fees! Although we do not charge you a fee, some banks may assess a surcharge that can be as much as $2.50. Please click on “No Surcharge ATMs” to find a free local ATM. The limit of cash you may withdraw from an ATM is $300.00 a day (Sunday and Monday represent one day).
BENEFITS OF CO-OP MEMBERSHIP!
The CO-OP is a nationwide ATM network with over 260 ATMs in Washington State and 4,600 nationwide. As a PSECU member, you will never be surcharged when using a CO-OP member ATM. PSECU members can now make deposits to their savings or checking accounts at many of these ATMs at no cost to themselves. When you make a deposit at a CO-OP ATM machine it will be credited to your account the next morning (IF the deposit is made before 3:00 p.m.). However, you will receive immediate credit of up to $100.00. As always, it’s a good idea to keep the ATM receipt for your records.
Look for the distinctive red CO-OP logo on CO-OP member ATMs near your home; or phone our office and ask that a “Deposit and Non-deposit Directory” be sent to you. For the computer savvy member, a list of CO-OP ATMs can be found at www.co-opnetwork.org/public/find-atm/index.cfm.
